Some tips when using boxes:
Remember to pack the items you may later need access to FIRST (and load first into your transport). This way they will be last items to be unloaded and placed in your space.
You should ‘contents label’ all of your boxes (even all sides) so that you can always see where everything is. Some customers print out the contents and tape it to the side for more detailed archiving.
Use a quality tape to secure boxes – you will use less tape and it will hold your boxes together with more strength and durability.
Boxes enable a quicker move for yourself and your removalist. Removalists can take 2-3 boxes on each trolley load more quickly and safely. Having all of your goods packed in boxes and ready from one point in your home (ie: the garage) will also save time and money.
Always use soft-packing for fragile items – especially picture frames, vases, lamp bases and mirrors. These items can be expensive to replace – so ensuring they are wrapped and boxed will minimize the risk of damage in transit.
